Lamborghini Ursus w 2017 roku – SUV na bazie Audi?

Rumored to use next-gen Audi Q7 platform

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann says „the expectation” is to launch the Urus in 2017.

Back in May last year Lamborghini confirmed a production version of the Urus concept for a 2017 market release and now the firm’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann has reiterated plans for an SUV from Sant’Agata to come out three years from now since he expects „the luxury SUV market is poised to continue to grow.”

The spiritual successor of the LM002 is rumored to ride on the same MLB platform as the next-gen Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg as well as the Bentley SUV. Details about what will power the Urus are not available at this moment but previous reports indicated a twin-turbo V8 along with a plug-in hybrid version. Winkelmann already said about a year ago the production version of the Urus will be offered with two powertrain choices but refused to elaborate on this subject.

On a side note, Winkelmann told Automotive News Europe deliveries of the Gallardo-replacing Huracan will commence in the second half of the year.
